Hypnosis can be used to help someone confront, and gain control over unhelpful, undesired and unwanted behaviors and habits, and to help them cope better with them and to help them change and modiy them.
Behaviours and habits (patterns of behaviour which can become part of routines and being repetitive in nature and under control) can lead to and develop into addictions being repetitive behavior but with no control. They can then become obsessive, an uncontrollable.
